In honor of Richard's first heavenly birthday, we're holding a free benefit concert featuring the students in the scholarship program. Our program, which pays tribute to his legacy, will begin with a pre-concert reception and birthday cake

The concert will feature a number of his former organ students, as well as current participants in the organ scholarship program founded in his honor, including Arthur Omura, Brett Wheeler, Armen Phelps, Nico Cardenas, and Eileen Chen.

Dr. Richard Cushman, who died in late December following a tragic accident, was a gifted organist and musician, a beloved teacher, mentor, and friend, as well as a noted scholar of literature.
